Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

The short version: this site is for parents and other adults. We collect your email address only when you sign up, and use it only to send you what you asked for and occasional Grow Up Curious emails. We don't collect information from children, we don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising trackers or cookies on this site. To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and gives us only aggregated numbers.

You can unsubscribe with one click in any email, or ask us to delete your data at [email protected].

1. Who we are

Grow Up Curious is a brand operated by Miloš Lupurović PR Računarsko programiranje Lupus Firmware Beška, which is the controller responsible for your personal data:

Miloš Lupurović PR Računarsko programiranje Lupus Firmware Beška

2. What we collect

  • Your email address, when you sign up through a form on this website.
  • Email engagement data: our email service records whether an email was delivered, opened, or a link was clicked. We use this to keep our list healthy and to see which emails are useful.
  • Order details, when you buy a guide: your name, email address, country, the product you bought, and the order amount, which our checkout provider shares with us so we can deliver your purchase and provide support. We never receive your full card details.
  • Technical data, such as your IP address and browser information, which is processed automatically by the services that deliver parts of this site when your browser loads them: our hosting provider, our font provider, our email provider on pages with a signup form, and the network that delivers our checkout script (see section 4).
  • Aggregated visit statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics service, to see how many people visit each page. It collects page-view data such as the page visited, the referring website, browser and device type, and country, and shows it to us only as totals. It does not use cookies, and we cannot identify you from it.

We never ask for a child's name, age, school, photo or any other information about a child. We do not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies.

3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • To send you the free guide and Grow Up Curious emails (project tips and news about our guides). Legal basis: your consent, which you give by signing up. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing.
  • To deliver your purchase, handle refunds, and answer support requests. Legal basis: performance of a contract with you, and our legal obligations, such as keeping accounting records.
  • To run and secure the website, for example protecting it against abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a safe, working website.
  • To understand which pages are useful, using aggregated, cookieless visit statistics. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the site.

4. Services that process data for us

We use a small number of trusted providers. They process data only to provide their service to us.

  • Polar (Polar Software, Inc., USA): our checkout provider and the merchant of record for purchases. Polar processes your payment, calculates and collects sales tax or VAT, issues your receipt, and delivers your download, under its own privacy policy and buyer terms.
  • MailerLite (UAB "MailerLite", Lithuania, EU): stores our email list and sends our emails. On pages with a signup form, your browser connects to MailerLite when the page loads (so we can count how often the form is shown) and when you submit the form. MailerLite receives standard request data such as your IP address and browser information.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): hosts this website and protects it against attacks. It processes visitors' IP addresses and may set strictly necessary security cookies. Cloudflare also provides Cloudflare Web Analytics, the cookieless analytics service described in section 2.
  • Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA): provides the typefaces used on this site. When the page loads, your browser requests the fonts from Google, which receives your IP address.
  • jsDelivr (a public content delivery network): on pages with a Buy button, your browser loads Polar's checkout script from jsDelivr, which receives standard request data such as your IP address. The checkout itself opens from Polar.

Some of these providers are based in, or may process data in, countries outside Serbia and the European Economic Area, including the United States. Where that happens, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, as offered by each provider.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your email address for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you. We may keep your address on a suppression list solely to make sure you are not emailed again. Order records are kept for as long as accounting and tax laws require. If you ask us to delete your data, we will remove it, unless the law requires us to keep it.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Serbia's Law on Personal Data Protection, and US state privacy laws, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • have your data deleted;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: in Serbia, the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection; in the EU, the authority in your country of residence.

7. Cookies

This website does not set its own cookies and does not use advertising trackers. Cloudflare Web Analytics, which we use for aggregated visit statistics, does not use cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set strictly necessary cookies to keep the site secure. If you open the checkout, Polar and its payment partners may set cookies needed to process your payment, under Polar's own policies. Links in our emails may include tracking parameters so we can see which links are clicked.

8. Children's privacy

Our guides are meant to be used by children together with an adult, but this website, our emails and our checkout are for adults only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, as defined by the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), or from anyone under 16 in the European Union. Children should not sign up or buy. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

9. Purchases

Purchases are handled by Polar Software, Inc., which acts as the merchant of record: Polar is the seller on your receipt, processes your payment, and handles sales tax or VAT. Your payment details go directly to Polar and its payment partners; we never see your full card number. Polar shares the order details listed in section 2 with us so we can deliver your purchase and help you. Buying a guide does not subscribe you to our emails unless you sign up separately.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will let subscribers know by email.
